For the 2026-2027 season, RYB plans to field teams for 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Girls, as well as 8th Grade Boys, with a minimum of 8 players per team.
All teams are subject to sufficient enrollment.
If a planned team cannot form, or if demand allows us to offer a different age group instead, families will be notified and issued a full refund for any pre-paid fees.
Each team will have a paid coach from Meadow Park Basketball.

Season: November 16 - February 26 (12 weeks, excluding breaks)
Players must live in the West Linn-Wilsonville District (WLWD) and/or attend a school in WLWD.
Out-of-district players may be accepted on a limited basis if open roster spots remain. Please fill out the Interest Form if you are out-of-district but interested in particating in the RYB program.
High. Players are expected to make RYB a priority for their winter season.
Girls: October 19, 6-7:30pm @ Stafford Primary School
Boys: October 21, 6-7:30pm @ Stafford Primary School
Riverside High School Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Coaches will be leading the tryouts.
Teams will have two to three 90-minute practices per week.
Practices will start on November 16 and held at Stafford Primary School.
Practice times will be Monday to Friday, between 6pm and 9pm.
A few practices may be held at Riverside High School starting at 4pm when the gym is available.
RYB teams will participate in the Beaverton Hoops Winter Development League, playing in 6-8 Saturday games held at the Beaverton YMCA.
In addition, each team will participate in three local weekend tournaments hosted by Portland metro schools.
Tournament dates will be selected by mid-November.
Grade School: For grade school level teams, RYB expects coaches to ensure equal playing time, provided players:
Maintain consistent practice and game attendance
Demonstrate positive behavior
Middle School: While elementary teams follow an equal play time rule, middle-school rosters transition to a quality playing time standard, where minutes are earned through:
